Bassoon, the largest of the woodwind instruments, is related to the oboe because they both have a double reed. Due to its large size and difficult fingerings, most students begin the bassoon after already having experience on another woodwind instrument. The bassoon has a wide range that spans three clefs, although it is mostly played in the bass clef. Lessons would include producing a sound, reading music, and simple scraping techniques for adjusting the double reed to fit the player.
Prices per lesson start at $30/30 minutes.
